About Me
Born in the beautiful Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, I .studied at Cheltenham & Gloucester College of Art & Design, I spent many years in the design industry working on blue-chip accounts. I then moved into education, teaching for another 12 years.
SInce becoming disabled, I have been using my love of art as both a therapy tool and an opportunity to reconnect with my roots.
I use mixed-media on various projects and have found I enjoy acrylics and drawing more and more.
I recently began a return journey with Steam. As a teenager, I lived just half a mile from the Norchard Steam Centre. Way back in it’s infancy, I would spend hours exploring the site and drawing, painting and photographing everything. Whilst I like a good diesel, there is something about the power, magnitude and the ‘aliveness’ of steam that keeps tugging at me.
